Wantmi is operated outside the United States and, by virtue of its operators' locale, does not fall under the jurisdiction of United States law. The operators of Wantmi nonetheless voluntarily comply with 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 to assure those who are bound by them that every visual depiction of actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct made available on Wantmi is of a person who was at least 18 years of age at the time the depiction was created.
By virtue of this voluntary compliance, the operators of Wantmi do not acknowledge or recognize United States jurisdiction over them, nor do they attorn to the jurisdiction of the United States of America.
Model age verification
All visual depictions on Wantmi, whether of actual sexually explicit conduct, simulated sexual conduct, or otherwise, are of persons who were at least 18 years of age when those depictions were created. All other visual depictions are exempt from 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 because they are not depictions of conduct specifically listed in 18 U.S.C. § 2256(2)(A)-(D).
How age is verified
Content recorded in the Wantmi app cannot go live until the creator has completed identity and age verification — government-issued identification plus a selfie check — and an administrator has confirmed the creator's age and approved the account. Verification records are stored privately and are never shown on public profiles.
Licensed content made available on Wantmi is provided by verified adult creators who have confirmed that they are at least 18 years of age and have consented to its use on the platform.
Performer responsibility
Every creator is responsible for ensuring that each person appearing in their content is an adult, has consented to appear, and is correctly listed in the performer roster at publishing time. Content with an unverified or invalid performer roster is not eligible for public availability.
Records and custodian
Age-verification and moderation records are retained where needed for age-verification, safety, fraud-prevention, legal, and abuse-response purposes. Records requests and inquiries from competent authorities may be directed to the Records Custodian at [email protected].
